Phonoanomalies: A Totally New Recording for Hi-Fi Bugs (MP3s)

Phonoanomalies_3coverStill looking for the right sound to holler in the new year? Look no further, for you have found it, the perfect Old-timey Holler (MP3) by Leonard Emanuel, 1975 World Champion Pig Hollerer. And this is only the beginning of Phonoanomalies: A Totally New Recording for Hi-Fi Bugs, the third and (unfortunately) last installment of Keith Lo Bue's Phonoanomalies series of compilations. Be sure to check out parts one and two if you missed them.

Apart from expert pig hollering, you will hear the sounds of the Explorer Organ exploring Bach, Batman, and The Duke, harmonicas going wild, 101 Strings going oriental, and Moog going all bluegrass. My personal favorites here are the vocal stylings of Sam Sacks, the Symphony of the Birds, and the greatest of all them Space Age wackos, André Popp, doing the polka.

The audio in form of 30 MP3 files follows below the jump, together with Keith's artwork. Again, the whole compilation in form of losslessly encoded FLAC files together with the artwork can also be downloaded as a Torrent. You just have to feed this file to your Torrent-O-Matic and wait. For all others and for instant gratification, jump now to the MP3s.

As in the first two parts, the tracks run into each other, i.e. this is intended to be burned to a CD and enjoyed as a whole. Here is the artwork: Label | Cover booklet and tray. And here is a bit more info about sources and recording dates.

Oh, just a few words about the technical side of things: As anticipated in my last post, Internet hasn't quite arrived in Germany yet, so I had to employ other means of transporting the music over the ocean. Instead of boring you with details, I just want to say thanks to all the helpful manatees, duck-billed platypuses, and homing pigeons without whom this post would not have been possible. And thanks to Keith most of all.
