For what it is designed to do, the features are great. If you need phantom power, and want to boost your xlr mic input to line level 1/4 unbalanced output, this unit will do it nicely. Won't color the sound like a tube amp, it's just a crisp, clear signal.

A good solid state preamp should be quiet, and this one is. Turn the gains up to max, then back them off until you are not clipping. The result is a very quiet pre-amp.

I play acoustic guitar and have 8 channel inputs into my Cakewalk based computer. I needed an inexpensive 8 channel preamp that would boost my signal, add some depth to my condenser mics, and NOT add any buzz or other noise. The works well SP-Pro PR8 works well for me.

It has a gain and a phantom switch on each channel. Pretty simple.
Quality:
It is as cheap as they come. I have had the best results on non condensor or mics that do not require phantom power.
Value:
I paid $199 9 months ago when the msrp was $299. It totally blows for me that they have such a price drop. I never had liked NADY products, this looks identical to the NADY, so it is pretty bottom of the line.
Desirability:
This thing has the sex appeal of a friggin fly.
Sound:
It sounds ok. Not to clean, though. I have only used it in a live recording environment. It is good enough for demos, or ghost tracks if you are totally broke.
Support:
The first one I had did not work properly on channel #3. I returned it to the retailer and got a new one about 4 months ago and so far so good.
Overall:
I will probably use this until I get my DDX3216 in 2004. Then I guess I will have to sell it for much less than what I paid for it. Thanks SMPRO for screwwing us guys that paid your first retail price of $199.

The Equalization is the best feature. I like being able to adjust and equalize my microphone like a mixer. The only thing that it doesn't have is de-essing but this preamp sounds so clear I don't really think it even needs de-essing. I was really impressed.

Nothing has broken on me yet. Everything looks built really well.Nice Maroon finish.
Value:
Excellent value, this definitely rivals the Focusrite optical preamps and is $400 cheaper.

Sound:
This product has an excellent smooth sounding compression. I tried it with the Behringer B-1 and it sounded exceptional for a budget microphone like that. The Slow Release setting is the best if you really want to make a certain instrument stand out.

I would definitely replace it with another one exactly the same. My recordings havent been better. I own an A.R.T. MP studio and that is retired in the closet forever.

It's a preamp and that's all it is. There's not much to it. It's got phantom power, inputs and outputs and the tubes are pretty cool (notice the LED in the back of the chasis however...)

It's a pretty basic feature set, but did what it said it would do. Also to get all these types of features I figured I would have to buy 4 different products so it was a good deal.
Desirability:
It has enough different styles of drumming, and variations on a groove that it's really helped my songwriting in a bunch of music genres. Also with the search engine, I can start writing faster vs. nerding out on the computer and searching for files for 1/2 hr.
Sound:
These audio loops are great (killer drummers, not recorded too wet) and the 700 free extra MIDI grooves were great quality as well.
Support:
seems like they have a good forum at their website.
Overall:
I still use another product (Reason) for my synthesizer sounding drum stuff. But for real sounding drums this is great. There's nothing like loops of great drummers.

I own a vintage 69 Strat, and a Carvin, but wanted an inexpensive guitar with more bottom end. It can be a little muddy depending on the amp I use, but highly recommend it. Play mostly classic rock, and I'm now gigging with it as my main axe!!!!!!!!

the picks are pretty good. the tuner works fine, but it can be annoying. The strap is great! I'm never gonna replace it. It looks and feels great.

this guitar's great!!! The strings still sound great after 5 month and i've only had to replace 2(i overtuned both of them). I'm gonna restirng it with some elixir's in a few months, so i'll see how it sounds then.

The package came with a nice tuner, picks, a string winder, a vinyl bag , a learning CD and 2 sets of extra strings. The CD is great. I am a beginner and found it to be very helpful. The vinyl case is almost useless. I keep mine in the box it came in. It makes a better case.
Quality:
The guitar is really pretty. Mine had one tiny pit in the finish, but it is barely noticeable.
Value:
I am very pleased with the guitar. I think it would be hard to find a better value in an acoustic.
Sound:
Clean, crisp sound. The sustain is remarkable.
Support:
Silvertone's support has been great. There are backing tracks downloadable from their web site.

The tuners work well and keep it in tune very well.

you get what you pay for. The guitar is built pretty well. Everything is good quality except the top of the guitar. this insturment seems very sturdy though

I should have got a fender or something. dont buy an insturment unless you play it first

This guitar doesnt really sound as good as expensive guitars. My girlfriend has a 400 dollar fender and it does not even compare to that. I have played very expensive insturments and this guitar does not sound like them. It is very ringy, and the tone doesnt resonate well.

the strings are very close to the fret board so they are easy to press. the neck is also ajustible if it warps with time.

I have been playing the drums for almost eight years now so i have a pretty good ear for drums. This is a pretty impressive drumset especially at this price. The snare rings but can be easily fixed. The toms are also a little ringy but once again with plastic rings or other dampeners it is easily fixed. The hardware and the throne are fine... no complaints. Cymbals do leave alot to be desired but can work until a better set can be aquired.

It has overdrive and a little equalizer control. Pretty standard stuff here. Headphone jack is nice, line in is useless.

It looks good and seems really sturdy. It's probably made of cheap plywood/paper mix crap. But who cares? It's a very solid little amp. One of the few things exceptional about it.
Value:
It's a good choice for the price. Just don't expect too much from this little guy and you'll be satisfied.
Sound:
This gets simply an average in sound. What do you expect from a cheap-o practice amp? High gain overdrive sounds pretty good, but anything else sounds really muddy and toneless. Useless for anything but practicing, but that's what this amp is specifically designed for.

I have an original ES345. It has been a fear for some time that this guitar would get knocked over and damaged. I was looking for a less expensive guitar that I could enjoy without fear of it becoming damaged. I am very happy with everything about the guitar except the volume controls. They are not responsive throughout the ranges. I am playing this guitar thru a RP 200 and a Fender Super Reverb which gives me the sound I desire. I would recommend this guitar very highly for all levels and ever higher if the controls could be upgraded.

It has a gain and a phantom switch on each channel. Pretty simple.

It is as cheap as they come. I have had the best results on non condensor or mics that do not require phantom power.

I paid $199 9 months ago when the msrp was $299. It totally blows for me that they have such a price drop. I never had liked NADY products, this looks identical to the NADY, so it is pretty bottom of the line.

This thing has the sex appeal of a friggin fly.
Sound:
It sounds ok. Not to clean, though. I have only used it in a live recording environment. It is good enough for demos, or ghost tracks if you are totally broke.

The first one I had did not work properly on channel #3. I returned it to the retailer and got a new one about 4 months ago and so far so good.
Overall:

The Equalization is the best feature. I like being able to adjust and equalize my microphone like a mixer. The only thing that it doesn't have is de-essing but this preamp sounds so clear I don't really think it even needs de-essing. I was really impressed.

This product has an excellent smooth sounding compression. I tried it with the Behringer B-1 and it sounded exceptional for a budget microphone like that. The Slow Release setting is the best if you really want to make a certain instrument stand out.

It's a pretty basic feature set, but did what it said it would do. Also to get all these types of features I figured I would have to buy 4 different products so it was a good deal.
Desirability:
It has enough different styles of drumming, and variations on a groove that it's really helped my songwriting in a bunch of music genres. Also with the search engine, I can start writing faster vs. nerding out on the computer and searching for files for 1/2 hr.
Sound:
These audio loops are great (killer drummers, not recorded too wet) and the 700 free extra MIDI grooves were great quality as well.

Overall:

The package came with a nice tuner, picks, a string winder, a vinyl bag , a learning CD and 2 sets of extra strings. The CD is great. I am a beginner and found it to be very helpful. The vinyl case is almost useless. I keep mine in the box it came in. It makes a better case.

The guitar is really pretty. Mine had one tiny pit in the finish, but it is barely noticeable.

I have been playing the drums for almost eight years now so i have a pretty good ear for drums. This is a pretty impressive drumset especially at this price. The snare rings but can be easily fixed. The toms are also a little ringy but once again with plastic rings or other dampeners it is easily fixed. The hardware and the throne are fine... no complaints. Cymbals do leave alot to be desired but can work until a better set can be aquired.

It looks good and seems really sturdy. It's probably made of cheap plywood/paper mix crap. But who cares? It's a very solid little amp. One of the few things exceptional about it.

It's a good choice for the price. Just don't expect too much from this little guy and you'll be satisfied.
Sound:
This gets simply an average in sound. What do you expect from a cheap-o practice amp? High gain overdrive sounds pretty good, but anything else sounds really muddy and toneless. Useless for anything but practicing, but that's what this amp is specifically designed for.

I have an original ES345. It has been a fear for some time that this guitar would get knocked over and damaged. I was looking for a less expensive guitar that I could enjoy without fear of it becoming damaged. I am very happy with everything about the guitar except the volume controls. They are not responsive throughout the ranges. I am playing this guitar thru a RP 200 and a Fender Super Reverb which gives me the sound I desire. I would recommend this guitar very highly for all levels and ever higher if the controls could be upgraded.

I have always liked the SWR logo. I like the red on the 900 amp. But this amp looks cool too. There's a really cool blue light that comes on when you turn the amp on and when you activate the bass intensfier.
Sound:
The sound is very impressive. You can get a ton of bass out of this thing. You can shift the Aural tone knob and change your sound to match anything you like. The bass intensifier adds a whole lot more bass to that! Awesome sound!!!
Overall:
Awesome amp no doubt about it. I don't have much money and this amp hurt my wallet a little bit but other than that this amp kicks!!! Definately the best amp i have owned.

I love the distortion. You can blend it in with the clean sound to be sure the low end doesn't disappear. I use the limiter all the time to keep my playing even.

The sound is very SWR. Full, deep lows. Clear highs. Punchy. A very rich, powerful sound. I play a Fender Precision, and the sound is just perfect. My band plays Indie Rock and I have to compete with two loud guitars and a loud drummer. I have no trouble being heard, and
