Feature:
The effects are outstanding. Improvements I'd like to see would be a mid sweep and the ability to send a signal to the control room/phones, while muting the main mix.
Quality:
The unit came with a scratch by one of the inputs. It was to much hassle to send it back for a scratch I'll probably put on it myself before the summer is over.
Desirability:
It's a friggin mixer! How sexy can that be? I love it, but I don't lust after it. TRS inserts are ony 1/4 anyway!
Sound:
I am using this for live solo work for acoustic/tric guitar and vocal. I use the onboard effects for vocal and I run a nanoverb through the aux loop for separate effects for the guitar. I run ART tube preamps to warm up the tone and I run 2 old style JBLowered Eons with it. This is the best sound I've gotten out of the Eons. This is a very clean board with great effects.I am very pleased with the sound. Very few small boards have a mid eq. The preamps could get by without the tube pres, but with them, it's really ideal. I couldn't ask for better live sound from a small rig. I haven't tried the usb hookup yet because i just got the board this week. I recommend it highy for duos or solos.

It is a great MIDI keyboard, lots of controls and knobs but be ware: It LACKS DATA FEEDBACK even if they are 360 degree endless!!! This means your keyboard is not going to read the soft synth's preset values and adjust the knobs values to that. This is a big problem with all the MIDI controllers. It may work fine if you are using it for one instrument only, but in a DAW, constantly jumping from track to track, from preset to preset it becomes pretty frustrating. The only units that support data feedback by today are Behringer BCF/BCA2000 and Mackie Control Surface, but they lack a keyboard and audio.

DO NOT BUY X25 FOR ITS AUDIO!!! While it may work fine in standalone mode with one soft synth, it becomes totally unusable in DAW because it lacks an ASIO control pannel that provides you with latency control. This means if you put a couple of synths and effects your DAW is dead because of a too small latency you can't change!

Overall:
Great MIDI controller with audio.... on paper. In real pro life it becomes just a great illuminated xmas decoration for your studio. Alesis needs to work out REAL ASIO2 drivers and make the unit read the feedback values.

The item comes with an AC adapter, which is a nice add on. You do need a good set of headphones or speakers in order to operate it. You can adjust tempo speed, give different effects to the guitar, change the pitch, transpose, etc.

It's mainly been used for practice, at least thus far. The design is sleek, and simple (with one knob controlling one feature).

This is a great tool for learning new and difficult songs. Sound quality is great too. Your guitar playing comes through as clear and as loud as you want it to, or you can balance it with the CD.

If this product was lost or stolen, I would definitely seek to replace it. It was chosen over another similar product due to the suggestion of a dealer I spoke with. It was just what I needed.

Looks good! I have it in a rack with a Korg DTR1000 tuner and an Aguilar DB750 bass amp. All three components have the brushed alumimum look, so you could say I have a rather 'color coordinated' rack! The dimmer capable rack lights are very helpful, and the primary reason I wanted this unit. Honestly speaking, this 'power conditioner' is nothing more than a 'glorified power strip, but it is handy. Being able to simply flip one switch and have amp and tuner come on at the same time... very convenient.

The lack of an on board sequencer will prevent it from getting a 10, but if your buying this synth, u know you arent getting a workstation. The expansion capability alone makes it worth at least an 8. 61 keys may not be enough, i wish they released a 76 key version of this synth.

I havent gigged with it yet, but i plan to without a backup, i'm not worried about it, it seems sturdy.

For its money, i think its well worth it. You get what you pay for with synths, but i think you get alot more for your money with this one.
Desirability:
The only main drawback in my opinion is the appearance of it, its a little toyish looking to me, i guess the way the buttons are layed out. I also would have rather had it in black like the old QS models, but those are minor details.
Sound:
Outstanding sound quality for its price, i've played other synths in its price range, such as the Yamaha S03 and i think its the best sounding one.

I havent had to deal with them yet, so i'll give an honest 7 for now.
Overall:
I hope to have this keyboard for a long time, even as a second if i move on to something bigger. I play progressive rock (ala dream theater and symphony X) and it seems very capable of that. The 61 keys are the only significant weakness, 76 would have been perfect.

I like that you can bridge it - useful if you use the amp for different configurations. Also, the fact that it has balanced and unbalanced ins as well as banana speaker terminals
Quality:
Quality is pretty good - I like that it's convection cooled and has no fan to wear out hear parts grinding. Fans that wear out are pretty irritating when you're trying to get something recorded and sounding just right.
Value:
Great value - I'm sure you could spend more and get a better amp. For th e money it is really good though.
Desirability:
The lights look pretty cool in my amp rack. The lights move when you've got signal pumping through it - also cool.
Sound:
The sound is very good - clear and punchy through my tannoy pbm 6.5's

Some of the Alesis speaker products are just way below the standards even for amateurs. I made a mistake of buying years ago small home studio monitors (point 7) which really should be used as rear speakers for home theater surround systems. ”Sumo” belongs to the same family of products which hopes to be sold since customer trusts the brand name. It is a heavy amplifier that bass sounds boomy with annoying piercing high and midrange adjustment. The idle noise from the inputs is high and easy to hear in quiet rooms. The CD player hooked up for testing will make your ears fatigue quickly no matter how you tweak the EQ. It seems to be just a bad design of crossovers and probably cheap speakers. It looks cheap as well with silver knobs and hard to read labels. “Cool” blue Alesis backlit sign does not help. I don’t believe hooking up another system for a stereo effect is going to help but rather amplify the harmonic distortions. I am looking currently at Yorkville and Unico products which receive lots of good customer reviews and returning “Sumo” back to the store.

I love the built-in effects. The flange is especially useful for the rhythm section I create.
Quality:
I had to rate it low on this because only one of them worked out of the box. The repair guy I took it to showed me the wiring inside and there was no sauter at all. It was like they forgot to connect the leads to the speaker at the factory, or maybe they used so little sauter it just fell off in shipping.
Value:
Definitely worth the money for the sheer volume of sound you can crank out of these bad boys.
Desirability:
Love the little blue Alesis logo in the front. Trés cool.
Sound:
The Sumo sounds great. The highs and lows are very clear and with the built-in effects, you can really customize the sound you get. I would put the Sumo up against any other dedicated keyboard amp on the market.
Ease of Use:
Just plug it in and go. Great stuff.

I haven't needed to call them. I didn't want to have to ship this monstrosity anywhere, so I had someone local do the repair work I needed.
Overall:
If these things ever wear out (which I doubt they will based on what I saw inside of them), then I'll probably just buy new ones to replace the old. I can't imagine going back to a 100W amp now.

Well built and solid. Probably just as well, as a lot of peole will be hitting it with solid objects such as a hammer or drummer.

Rather like a bad lover with no technique, who also gives you syphillis.
Sound:
Unlike most other Alesis stuff, this one does not do what it says on the tin [or, indeed, in the advert]. Whilst it will remove a centre vocal, the side effects are so awful as to make the resulting sound unusable. As a means of auditory torture it may have some use down in G Bay.
Ease of Use:
It is impossible to get great sounds out of this thing.
Overall:
So bad it could become the new Sinclair C5.

Quality and cosmetics are superb on this guitar! The level of detail is to be admired. You'll really enjoy the finish and the way the wood joints come together. It really does resemble some of those $4,000 guitars. The level of craftsmanship is tremendous.

Again, you would nromally expect to pay at least $1,000 to get the level of detail and craftsmanship of a guitar like this.

Very pleasing. Not twangy or uncontrolled, but mellow and in tune up and down the frets. Bass is a muted, but this may be characteristic of all smaller guitars.
Ease of Use:
This guitar can be played and played! Maybe the Elixir strings have something to do with it, but the action seems very good right out og the box. A quality control slip seems to indicate that the set up was checked at the factory, although the strings are shipped slack.

The effects are outstanding. Improvements I'd like to see would be a mid sweep and the ability to send a signal to the control room/phones, while muting the main mix.
Quality:
The unit came with a scratch by one of the inputs. It was to much hassle to send it back for a scratch I'll probably put on it myself before the summer is over.
Desirability:
It's a friggin mixer! How sexy can that be? I love it, but I don't lust after it. TRS inserts are ony 1/4 anyway!
Sound:
I am using this for live solo work for acoustic/tric guitar and vocal. I use the onboard effects for vocal and I run a nanoverb through the aux loop for separate effects for the guitar. I run ART tube preamps to warm up the tone and I run 2 old style JBLowered Eons with it. This is the best sound I've gotten out of the Eons. This is a very clean board with great effects.I am very pleased with the sound. Very few small boards have a mid eq. The preamps could get by without the tube pres, but with them, it's really ideal. I couldn't ask for better live sound from a small rig. I haven't tried the usb hookup yet because i just got the board this week. I recommend it highy for duos or solos.

It is a great MIDI keyboard, lots of controls and knobs but be ware: It LACKS DATA FEEDBACK even if they are 360 degree endless!!! This means your keyboard is not going to read the soft synth's preset values and adjust the knobs values to that. This is a big problem with all the MIDI controllers. It may work fine if you are using it for one instrument only, but in a DAW, constantly jumping from track to track, from preset to preset it becomes pretty frustrating. The only units that support data feedback by today are Behringer BCF/BCA2000 and Mackie Control Surface, but they lack a keyboard and audio.

Looks good! I have it in a rack with a Korg DTR1000 tuner and an Aguilar DB750 bass amp. All three components have the brushed alumimum look, so you could say I have a rather 'color coordinated' rack! The dimmer capable rack lights are very helpful, and the primary reason I wanted this unit. Honestly speaking, this 'power conditioner' is nothing more than a 'glorified power strip, but it is handy. Being able to simply flip one switch and have amp and tuner come on at the same time... very convenient.

Quality is pretty good - I like that it's convection cooled and has no fan to wear out hear parts grinding. Fans that wear out are pretty irritating when you're trying to get something recorded and sounding just right.

Great value - I'm sure you could spend more and get a better amp. For th e money it is really good though.

Some of the Alesis speaker products are just way below the standards even for amateurs. I made a mistake of buying years ago small home studio monitors (point 7) which really should be used as rear speakers for home theater surround systems. ”Sumo” belongs to the same family of products which hopes to be sold since customer trusts the brand name. It is a heavy amplifier that bass sounds boomy with annoying piercing high and midrange adjustment. The idle noise from the inputs is high and easy to hear in quiet rooms. The CD player hooked up for testing will make your ears fatigue quickly no matter how you tweak the EQ. It seems to be just a bad design of crossovers and probably cheap speakers. It looks cheap as well with silver knobs and hard to read labels. “Cool” blue Alesis backlit sign does not help. I don’t believe hooking up another system for a stereo effect is going to help but rather amplify the harmonic distortions. I am looking currently at Yorkville and Unico products which receive lots of good customer reviews and returning “Sumo” back to the store.

I love the built-in effects. The flange is especially useful for the rhythm section I create.

I had to rate it low on this because only one of them worked out of the box. The repair guy I took it to showed me the wiring inside and there was no sauter at all. It was like they forgot to connect the leads to the speaker at the factory, or maybe they used so little sauter it just fell off in shipping.

Definitely worth the money for the sheer volume of sound you can crank out of these bad boys.

The Sumo sounds great. The highs and lows are very clear and with the built-in effects, you can really customize the sound you get. I would put the Sumo up against any other dedicated keyboard amp on the market.

Quality and cosmetics are superb on this guitar! The level of detail is to be admired. You'll really enjoy the finish and the way the wood joints come together. It really does resemble some of those $4,000 guitars. The level of craftsmanship is tremendous.
Value:
Again, you would nromally expect to pay at least $1,000 to get the level of detail and craftsmanship of a guitar like this.

Quality:
Plenty of laquer, but all is well. No chips, dings, scratches, bubbles.
Value:
A nice little axe in a hard case. Fun to play and pleasant sounding.
Desirability:
This guitar will travel, be used for writing and practice, and go to informal performances.
Sound:
Very pleasing. Not twangy or uncontrolled, but mellow and in tune up and down the frets. Bass is a muted, but this may be characteristic of all smaller guitars.
Ease of Use:
This guitar can be played and played! Maybe the Elixir strings have something to do with it, but the action seems very good right out og the box. A quality control slip seems to indicate that the set up was checked at the factory, although the strings are shipped slack.
Support:

Overall:
Should last for years and will be used a lot. I would replace if stolen, although I will be looking at higher end folk size instruments now that I have gotten this one.

Just picking it up i said, wow this is awesome. It looks really cool too, the tolex is just sweet. I don't need a back up with this, it would sit around and collect dust forever

It is perfectly priced for what features you get. it is wonderful, and i am sure that i will not have anyproblems with it.
Desirability:
From the time i pluged in, i was hooked, there was no way i was going home without this amp.
Sound:
IT has amazing sound, it makes my bass sound much better than the old crate i was using. Everyone was like wow in the room when i fired it up to play. It has great use for the music i play, such as Rock, sometimes funk solos, it is perfect.
Support:
i haven't had to talk with them, the unit works perfect, no problems ever.
Overall:
I don't have anyplans to get anything new, but i will say this, when/ if i get a new amp, i will be purhcasing from ampeg again.
