I was tired of lugging my current combo, Peavey TKO, which got heavier every time I picked it up. I was looking for something lighter that had all the features of EQ, line out, headphones, 15 speaker, minimum of 100 watts, effects loop and the ability to connect exteral cab. The A100 met all these in spades. Very good tone, I play a Fender Jazz with active pickups, and the sound is very smooth for my style of playing, jazz, blues, r&b. Plenty of headroom. This amp rocks at less than 50% volume. Tilt back design and weighs about 65lbs.

This is a normal setup..but the limiter really has no purpose because if you turn it high up then the amp isnt as loud and loud is an overstatement.

I guess its worth it if you have an extra 160 dollars to spend, but there are better deals out there.

the limiter has a light on it that lights up every time you play a note so thats cool.

If your guitarist has an amp higher than 60 watts then dont even bother with this amp. I have a fender deluxe active jazz bass and it sounds like crap through this amp turned past 4 or 5. ive had lots of problems with buzzes and wierd sounds. The only thing this is good for is practice.

I use this bass in worship music and often get asked to turn it down because it overpowers the other instruments(drums,electric guitar and Keyboard). I've used in churchs' that seat anywhere from 150 to 750 people and it works great.

Quality:
So far the quality has been very good. Time will tell how they hold their tone and strength - I have not broken one yet (I broke 2 from my previous brand within 2 weeks). I do change my strings but I like to get the most out of each set.
Value:
Excellent value - I paid a total of $29.84 (with shipping) for 3 sets. This combined with good sounding strings is a fine deal!

This is my first set of Hartke HSB 545 light strings. I find they sound great on my Godin BG5. The B sounds very crisp and fat, all the strings sound even. I had issues with my famous brand strings that where on it previous. There where inconsistencies - I found the A & D strings where not as pernounced (flat) as the other strings not long after they where installed. These Hartke strings definetly sound strong and consistent with good attack, tone and clarity.

It came with batteries, so just a case of pop them in and tune away. It is chromatic as well as bass, guitar and violen tunner, so it pretty much covers the standard stringed instrument range.

plastic outer case, but feels very solid, recon one could drop it, pick it up and dust it of and keep going

In terms of what is offered in the price, it is great value for money, I would reccommend it to someone looking to pick up a good quality tunner

Fine. I like the XLR output for DI box or sounds system. The phase thing is just weird...I never use it. Tilt back feature is great in the small setting to the sound goes up instead of straight across the floor...My drummer like it b/c then he can here me when we play...usually that area is small I am in front of him so he gets the bounced back sound.

this is my second Hartke amp, although is has less features, I can really on it every time. Although the air vent is weird in the top since I am usually lugging it around NYC...Rain/water can get in there easily.

Sounds is great. For the size and mobility this little amp packs a punch. I use to have the other Hartke Combo amps that weighed a ton and didn't need that much power to begin with. I play Jazz and this amp is perfect for small clubs and bars. If the venue is that big...they have a sound system...it is nice that it has an XLR our for that purpose..although post would have been nice.

A plug in power cord. I would think it would be hard wired if your dealing with all the low frequency vibrations af a combo amp.

The over all product was killer as far, as looks and portability go, Unfortunatly I began to have problems after three months use,The amp began popping and cutting out on me. I traced the problem to the plug in power cord. It seems to make more sense to hard wire the power cord in a combo amp doesn't it?,,I don't know ,, the bottom line is I'm extreamly unhappy with the kickback 15 hartke, It's let me down more than once!!!!

In the past in had one of this and I used it with my hartke 4000 head(only 220 Watts at 8 ohm) and it's blow up. So when my friend on the store chek the speaker and the horn, this two things was totaly dead. We saw than the 300watts is not RSM. It is only program. So I had to change for a Hartke VX410 and 7 months later, I have a similar problem with this one. Hartke VX series has great sound, but if you want plenty of power go for the XL series or look for the SWR cabs.

It's a bass cab. It might be nice to be able to turn the horn or or down--but its not really that noticable anyway.
Quality:
Its not heavy duty but will do what the vast majority need and hold up well. If not you can buy another on for the price.
Value:
If you don't want to spend twice the money for sounds that only you can notice its a great value. You can spend more for unless you arae on a high-dollar budget this will work just fine.
Sound:
Let's face it--sound is almost subjective. It all depends on what sound you want and what price you are willing to pay to get it. The sound I like is smooth and low. I want it to sound like a bass and not like I'm trying to sound like and compete with a guitar. This cab does that well--and extremely well for the price. (Keep in mind people listening don't notice such things as we do.) For the price its a great cab. The only thing I don't like is when playing with a pick it can tend to be a little clicky sounding (at least the way I set my amp). It does have very good lows for 2 10s. I was impressed by that. By itself tt's not for large gigs.

this is a very nice nice profesional looking amp. it just looks big and pricey. ive gotten lots of compliments on the looks, as well as the sound.

this cab is great. its really cheap and can really kick out the lows and high that you need for any gig. for the price. you cant go wrong. the only comlpaint i have is; if you dont have a good powerful head. this cab wont put out like it should. im currently using an old 300 watt peavey PA head. and its not cutting it too well..however..if you want to really boost your sound for more than half the price. you should with out no doubt get the hartke bass driver. it cleared up my sound and boosted my lows and highs sooo much. it UNBELIEVABLE!!

very sturdy construction. I'm a touring musiucian and hate having to lug this cabinet out of the back of the trailer because it is SO heavy and durable. That is until I plug it in for cound check and then hear what it does for my sound. The recessed handles make loading a lot easier thatn with some other cabs.

not much features besides the gain, warp, volume, and the bass booster which is great for heavy guitaring. one problem of the warp factor is the stomp eventually gets warn out and takes a few tries to stomp it on. plus its flat and wide so it wont tip over when u go to stomp as with the square petals.

With it down it sounds muffly. up it sounds crisp and clear. for an experienced guitarist, the high ended distortion is the key. This has got it. this petal has studio quality sound with the right guitar pickups. i have a bc rich warlock with bdsm pickups. nice. id kick the warp up to about a 3 oclock setting gives it a crisp clean sound with a little juice. especially when u hit the bass booster button. heavy stuff.

It's worth at leat 3 times what it sells for. I have 3 Martins and I have to say I like the Ibanez better. Don't get me wrong. I love my Martins too but this guitar dollar for dollar gives you a lot more. It plays better too.
Sound:
The sound of this guitar is incredible. It's bright yet warm with excellent mids and highs. Tight low end. The action is SUPERB. It plays like an electric guitar. The electronics are top of the line. Very clean, very quiet and the sound shaping feature is perfect. Unbelievable.

I think this is a really good value as I compared with Fender and Gibson. The salesman really wanted me to buy a Fender that was a $150 more, but in my opinion this guitar sounded crisper and cleaner.

The built in tuner is a very nice feature. I really like that feature but wish it had a more accurate tuner instead of the 3 position setup but its still VERY nice to have.

For the money its a great deal. Very solid and nice handeling. Very easy to play sitting down or standing up. However I wish they put a better nut and tail piece on the guitar. They would have sold tens of thousands of these guitars!!! I have a problem playing it for a hour and it going out of tune alot.

Best in its class. I would give it a 10 for value for your buck!!! I love this guitar and is one of the most fun acoustics I have owned personally. It fits me perfectly. You may have to try for yourself but it fits me like a glove and im a BIG guy!

I was tired of lugging my current combo, Peavey TKO, which got heavier every time I picked it up. I was looking for something lighter that had all the features of EQ, line out, headphones, 15 speaker, minimum of 100 watts, effects loop and the ability to connect exteral cab. The A100 met all these in spades. Very good tone, I play a Fender Jazz with active pickups, and the sound is very smooth for my style of playing, jazz, blues, r&b. Plenty of headroom. This amp rocks at less than 50% volume. Tilt back design and weighs about 65lbs.

This is a normal setup..but the limiter really has no purpose because if you turn it high up then the amp isnt as loud and loud is an overstatement.

If your guitarist has an amp higher than 60 watts then dont even bother with this amp. I have a fender deluxe active jazz bass and it sounds like crap through this amp turned past 4 or 5. ive had lots of problems with buzzes and wierd sounds. The only thing this is good for is practice.

So far the quality has been very good. Time will tell how they hold their tone and strength - I have not broken one yet (I broke 2 from my previous brand within 2 weeks). I do change my strings but I like to get the most out of each set.

This is my first set of Hartke HSB 545 light strings. I find they sound great on my Godin BG5. The B sounds very crisp and fat, all the strings sound even. I had issues with my famous brand strings that where on it previous. There where inconsistencies - I found the A & D strings where not as pernounced (flat) as the other strings not long after they where installed. These Hartke strings definetly sound strong and consistent with good attack, tone and clarity.

It came with batteries, so just a case of pop them in and tune away. It is chromatic as well as bass, guitar and violen tunner, so it pretty much covers the standard stringed instrument range.

Fine. I like the XLR output for DI box or sounds system. The phase thing is just weird...I never use it. Tilt back feature is great in the small setting to the sound goes up instead of straight across the floor...My drummer like it b/c then he can here me when we play...usually that area is small I am in front of him so he gets the bounced back sound.

In the past in had one of this and I used it with my hartke 4000 head(only 220 Watts at 8 ohm) and it's blow up. So when my friend on the store chek the speaker and the horn, this two things was totaly dead. We saw than the 300watts is not RSM. It is only program. So I had to change for a Hartke VX410 and 7 months later, I have a similar problem with this one. Hartke VX series has great sound, but if you want plenty of power go for the XL series or look for the SWR cabs.

It's a bass cab. It might be nice to be able to turn the horn or or down--but its not really that noticable anyway.

Its not heavy duty but will do what the vast majority need and hold up well. If not you can buy another on for the price.

If you don't want to spend twice the money for sounds that only you can notice its a great value. You can spend more for unless you arae on a high-dollar budget this will work just fine.
Sound:
Let's face it--sound is almost subjective. It all depends on what sound you want and what price you are willing to pay to get it. The sound I like is smooth and low. I want it to sound like a bass and not like I'm trying to sound like and compete with a guitar. This cab does that well--and extremely well for the price. (Keep in mind people listening don't notice such things as we do.) For the price its a great cab. The only thing I don't like is when playing with a pick it can tend to be a little clicky sounding (at least the way I set my amp). It does have very good lows for 2 10s. I was impressed by that. By itself tt's not for large gigs.

It's light and easy to carry. Plug it in.

this cab is great. its really cheap and can really kick out the lows and high that you need for any gig. for the price. you cant go wrong. the only comlpaint i have is; if you dont have a good powerful head. this cab wont put out like it should. im currently using an old 300 watt peavey PA head. and its not cutting it too well..however..if you want to really boost your sound for more than half the price. you should with out no doubt get the hartke bass driver. it cleared up my sound and boosted my lows and highs sooo much. it UNBELIEVABLE!!

very sturdy construction. I'm a touring musiucian and hate having to lug this cabinet out of the back of the trailer because it is SO heavy and durable. That is until I plug it in for cound check and then hear what it does for my sound. The recessed handles make loading a lot easier thatn with some other cabs.

I have a Pro 185 Fender solid state. The Tubeman 2 fills the lack of valve tone enhancing naturally this amp. Discreet it’s really bluesy. If you’re expecting a multi effect pedal it can’t be consider, otherwise it’s nice tool for recordings.

not much features besides the gain, warp, volume, and the bass booster which is great for heavy guitaring. one problem of the warp factor is the stomp eventually gets warn out and takes a few tries to stomp it on. plus its flat and wide so it wont tip over when u go to stomp as with the square petals.

like i said the stomp wears out a little bit. everything else is great. dont spill anything on it of course. ive had if for about a year constant use no stopping. great sound. nothing slowly breaking besides the stomp. easy to fix.

i got it for 100 its now 50 or lower. great price. other petals are 30 dollars but crap. this is killer for distortion.

sound is kick ass. if you like the heavy stuff...this is for you. incredible sound quality especially if you kick the warp up. With it down it sounds muffly. up it sounds crisp and clear. for an experienced guitarist, the high ended distortion is the key. This has got it. this petal has studio quality sound with the right guitar pickups. i have a bc rich warlock with bdsm pickups. nice. id kick the warp up to about a 3 oclock setting gives it a crisp clean sound with a little juice. especially when u hit the bass booster button. heavy stuff.

It's worth at leat 3 times what it sells for. I have 3 Martins and I have to say I like the Ibanez better. Don't get me wrong. I love my Martins too but this guitar dollar for dollar gives you a lot more. It plays better too.
Sound:
The sound of this guitar is incredible. It's bright yet warm with excellent mids and highs. Tight low end. The action is SUPERB. It plays like an electric guitar. The electronics are top of the line. Very clean, very quiet and the sound shaping feature is perfect. Unbelievable.

No accessories included. The built in tuner is very useful and the SST pickup is very useable.
Quality:
I am only rating it a 9 because I don't have it long enough to know how it will hold up after time.
Value:
I think this is a really good value as I compared with Fender and Gibson. The salesman really wanted me to buy a Fender that was a $150 more, but in my opinion this guitar sounded crisper and cleaner.
Desirability:
Very aesthetically appealing.
Sound:
This guitar sounds absolutely fantastic. Clear crisp tones that make me want to play for hours. I initially bought an electric, but took it back because I wasn't happy with the sound. After I tried a few acoustics I came upon this one and new it was the one for me.
Ease of Use:
If you can play some chords you can some really clean sounds out of this guitar.

Overall:
I plan to keep it forever and will only add to my collection as different moods or interests require a different instrument.

The built in tuner is a very nice feature. I really like that feature but wish it had a more accurate tuner instead of the 3 position setup but its still VERY nice to have.
Quality:
For the money its a great deal. Very solid and nice handeling. Very easy to play sitting down or standing up. However I wish they put a better nut and tail piece on the guitar. They would have sold tens of thousands of these guitars!!! I have a problem playing it for a hour and it going out of tune alot.
Value:
Best in its class. I would give it a 10 for value for your buck!!! I love this guitar and is one of the most fun acoustics I have owned personally. It fits me perfectly. You may have to try for yourself but it fits me like a glove and im a BIG guy!
Desirability:
It's SEXY! haha For real this is a really pretty guitar and is a great value for the money!

Has a really decent sound for an electric/acoustic hybrid
Ease of Use:
I just received this guitar about 2 weeks ago but have yet to plug it into an amp. I mainly bought it to travel with and practice on and its fantastic for that. Very easy to play for an accoustic. Its not an electric feel by any means but still a nice guitar.
