DiMarzio DP419 Area '67 Classic Single-Coil Pickup

DiMarzio DP419 Area '67 Classic Single-Coil Pickup

The Monterey Pop Festival of 1967 was a watershed event in American music. When it was over, the world had heard and felt the sound of a Strat in the hands of a master. Single-coils in 1967 were bright and very clean. And of course, they hummed. DiMarzio has captured the classic bright and clean sound but totally eliminated that hum with their patented Area technology.

DiMarzio D Activator Humbucker Guitar Pickup

DiMarzio D Activator Humbucker Guitar Pickup

Both the D Activator™ neck and bridge pickups were designed to eliminate the sterile edginess commonly associated with active pickups.

DiMarzio D Activator 7 Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio D Activator 7 Humbucker Pickup

Active humbuckers have a distinctive sound: powerful, clean, open-sounding, with excellent harmonic overtones and very tight lows. This also fits the description of a great 7-string pickup, if the problems associated with active pickups sterile sound and limited headroom could be eliminated. The D Activator 7™ does just that.

DiMarzio D Activator-X Humbucker Guitar Pickup

DiMarzio D Activator-X Humbucker Guitar Pickup

The DiMarzio X2N has been the top choice for all-out power for nearly 30 years. In the last two years, DiMarzio has developed totally new ways to combine power with clarity, which first resulted in the D Activator. Now they bring you the D Activator-X Model. It features the same striking look and high output as the X2N, but they tuned the coils to different frequencies to allow maximum power wide open with a surprisingly clean sound when the volume control is rolled down, even with extreme metal and high-gain amps. The D Activator-X model features a universal spacing for both standard and F-spaced applications.

DiMarzio DP189 Tone Zone S Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP189 Tone Zone S Humbucker Pickup

The Tone Zone S™ brings the performance of the famous Tone Zone T™ to a humbucking Strat® replacement pickup. DiMarzio has built-in the tremendous mid-range and bass response of the original Tone Zone®, and the same patented dual-resonance design produces great harmonics.

DiMarzio DP207 Dropsonic Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP207 Dropsonic Humbucker Pickup

The new DiMarzio Dropsonic is a high-output bridge humbucker designed for the extended low end and heavy chords that dropped tuning delivers, plus serious treble response for single-note solos. The DropSonic isn't just a one-sound pickup, either. The patented design utilizes 4-conductor wiring to access 2 different single-coil sounds plus parallel humbucking mode, for 3 additional sounds that are distinctive and versatile.

DiMarzio DP209 P-90 Super Distortion Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP209 P-90 Super Distortion Humbucker Pickup

A Super Distortion in a P-90 package? Cool! The DiMarzio Super Distortion has been the industry standard since it's introduction in the early 70s. The new P-90 Super Distortion is DiMarzio's highest-output humbucking soapbar replacement.

DiMarzio DP210 Tone Zone P90 Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP210 Tone Zone P90 Humbucker Pickup

The Tone Zone P-90 is a high-output, humbucking soapbar pickup with the same sound and power as the Tone Zone humbucker. Like the original Tone Zone, it is designed for the bridge position and comes standard with 4-conductor wiring enabling series/parallel humbucking or split-coil modes. Available in creme or black.

DiMarzio DP213 PAF Joe Satriani Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP213 PAF Joe Satriani Humbucker Pickup

The PAF Joe is the new neck pickup that DiMarzio(R) developed for Joe Satriani. Joe wanted a neck position humbucker that combines the best qualities of the DiMarzio(R) PAF Pro(R) with those of a late '50s Gibson humbucker.

DiMarzio DP215 Evolution 2 Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP215 Evolution 2 Humbucker Pickup

The original Evolution® bridge model did exactly what Steve Vai wanted it to do: kick butt and produce serious scream. Now he wants something a little more complex-the same basic tone with increased headroom and dynamics, so that the sound kills on 10 and cleans up when the volume is rolled down. With a little less power than the original Evolution®, Evo 2™ balances perfectly with the Evolution® neck model and performs equally well with high gain and vintage amps.

DiMarzio DP216 Mo'Joe Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP216 Mo'Joe Humbucker Pickup

Joe Satriani has used the Fred® as his main bridge pickup for years. This year Joe asked DiMarzio for a hotter and bigger version to replace the Fred® in his new Ibanez guitars. The new model called the Mo' Joe™ is all about tone and definition. It's name says it all. It has more power than the Fred®, but it doesn't sacrifice clarity or dynamics.

DiMarzio DP217 YJM Single-Coil Pickup

DiMarzio DP217 YJM Single-Coil Pickup

You might not realize it from his music, but Yngwie Malmsteen is a vintage Strat® collector, and he swears by his 50s and 60s axes. He also swears by DiMarzio's HS-3™, and he's always wanted a vintage magnet-stagger version to go with his best guitars. While there is still a strong resemblance to the HS-3™, the YJM™ has more presence and brilliance, particularly on the high strings, and still no 60-cycle hum.

DiMarzio DP223 PAF 36th Anniversary Bridge Pickup

DiMarzio DP223 PAF 36th Anniversary Bridge Pickup

There was no such thing as a "neck" or "bridge" humbucker in the 1950s, but there was a wide range of performance between individual pickups which made some better suited to one position. Some of the old pickups had a lot of wire on the coils, which created more power and a warmer tone. DiMarzio used new technology to duplicate these qualities - without sacrificing the presence and open sound of the best vintage humbuckers - to bring you the PAF 36th Anniversary Bridge Model, a hotter version of their new PAF 36th Anniversary.

DiMarzio DP223F PAF 36th Anniversary F-Spaced Bridge Pickup

DiMarzio DP223F PAF 36th Anniversary F-Spaced Bridge Pickup

There was no such thing as a "neck" or "bridge" humbucker in the 1950s, but there was a wide range of performance between individual pickups which made some better suited to one position. Some of the old pickups had a lot of wire on the coils, which created more power and a warmer tone. DiMarzio used new technology to duplicate these qualities - without sacrificing the presence and open sound of the best vintage humbuckers - to bring you the PAF 36th Anniversary Bridge Model, a hotter version of their new PAF 36th Anniversary.

DiMarzio DP223N PAF 36th Anniversary Full Vintage Humbucker Bridge Pickup

DiMarzio DP223N PAF 36th Anniversary Full Vintage Humbucker Bridge Pickup

There was no such thing as a "neck" or "bridge" humbucker in the 1950s, but there was a wide range of performance among individual pickups which made some better suited to one position. Some of the old pickups had a lot of wire on the coils, which created more power and a warmer tone. DiMarzio DP415 Area '58 Single-Coil Pickup

DiMarzio DP415 Area '58 Single-Coil Pickup

There are two major differences between a great vintage Strat® pickup and an average one: treble response and dynamics. A great pickup is clear and bright, but not thin-sounding. A great one makes the sound jump out of the amp when you pick hard and drop way down when you play softly, and the tone varies when the string is picked at different spots. The best pickup DiMarzio has ever heard like this was from 1958, and that's what inspired the Area '58™, with two major differences. DiMarzio's pickup has way less magnet pull, and virtually no hum.

DiMarzio DP416 Area '61 Single-Coil Pickup

DiMarzio DP416 Area '61 Single-Coil Pickup

DiMarzio has been working on serious vintage single-coil design with no hum for eight years. DiMarzio's goal has always been to capture the best qualities of pickups DiMarzio heard from the 1950s and early '60s.

DiMarzio DP702 Blaze 7 Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP702 Blaze 7 Humbucker Pickup

The Blaze™ Bridge Model bears a strong resemblance to the Steve's Special™. The mids are scooped out, and both treble and bass are boosted. The hot bass response gives the seventh string a lot of impact, while opening up the midrange keeps it from getting muddy. This enables the Blaze™ Bridge Model to handle both fast soloing and clean chords, because individual notes won't smear together with heavy overdrive, and clean sounds have an almost "hi-fi" quality.

DiMarzio DP704 Evolution 7 7-String Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP704 Evolution 7 7-String Humbucker Pickup

Combining the basic Evolution design with Virtual Vintage technology results in a 7-string pickup possessing crunching lows and intense highs. The output voltage of the Evolution 7 is concentrated towards the upper mids and treble, so there's a lot of cutting power, and the low end stays hot and clear.

DiMarzio DP755 Tone Zone 7 7-String Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP755 Tone Zone 7 7-String Humbucker Pickup

The Tone Zone 7 is not simply a 7-string copy of the original Tone Zone(TM), but rather a new design that incorporates lower magnet-pull and coils specifically calibrated to reproduce the full impact of the low B string without any loss of tone quality or fidelity.

DiMarzio DP759 PAF 7 7-String Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP759 PAF 7 7-String Humbucker Pickup

The PAF 7 incorporates some of the same technology employed in the Virtual Vintage(TM) Series to produce a sound that's both clean and open on the low notes and warm and rounded on the highs.

DiMarzio DP158/DP159 Evolution Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP158/DP159 Evolution Humbucker Pickup

This pickup is designed for maximum impact and power. The sound is tight, aggressive and loud. The design incorporates DiMarzio's patented dual-resonance coil configuration that senses more harmonic overtones than ordinary humbuckers.

DiMarzio DP153 Fred Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP153 Fred Humbucker Pickup

For straight-into-the-amp burning, FRED lets you make all the changes happen right from the guitar. A short time spent exploring pick attack and the guitar's volume and tone controls reveals the wide variety of tones available from FRED.

DiMarzio Fast Track 2 Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio Fast Track 2 Humbucker Pickup

Like a Chopper on vitamins, the Fast Track 2 is a pedal-to-the-floor, side-by-side, twin-blade monster. It's got 3 times the output of an average single-coil, with a huge mid-range punch. The Fast Track 2 is a bridge-position-only pickup with a powerful crunch and grind designed right in.

DiMarzio HS3 Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio HS3 Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio EQed the HS-3 with a broad low-end while gently rolling back the top. The result is warmth without a glaring high-end - just right for the guitar that needs more body and less screech. The HS-3 hum-free design lends itself to any performance situation. Try HS-3 pickups in a recording environment. No more dumping your best solo because of single-coil noise on the track.

DiMarzio ISCV2 Evolution Single Coil Pickup

DiMarzio ISCV2 Evolution Single Coil Pickup

Now you can get the same pickup used in the middle position of Steve Vai’s Jem series guitars -- The DiMarzio Evolution ISCV2 Single Coil. This pickup must be wired to DiMarzio Evolution neck and bridge humbuckers according to the included instructions. It does not sound like an Evolution when played by itself.

DiMarzio DP103 PAF Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP103 PAF Humbucker Pickup

Classic vintage tone - a smooth, almost voice-like quality - the PAF has that intangible swell to the notes after attack. It possesses vintage output and breathes freely with an open, warm character. Played flat-out through non-master volume tube amps, the PAF recreates the deep character of the great plug-in, turn-up, and wail school of tone.

DiMarzio PAF Bridge Pickup

DiMarzio PAF Bridge Pickup

DiMarzio PAF Bridge Pickup There was no such thing as a "neck" or "bridge" humbucker in the 1950s, but there was a wide range of performance between individual pickups which made some better suited to one position. Some of the old pickups had a lot of wire on the coils, which created more power and a warmer tone. DiMarzio has used new technology to duplicate these qualities - without sacrificing the presence and open sound of the best vintage humbuckers - to bring you the PAF Bridge Model, a hotter version of our new PAF

DiMarzio DP151 PAF Pro Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP151 PAF Pro Humbucker Pickup

The PAF Pro humbucker has the most transparent sound of the group of Modern Classic Humbuckers. That's not to say there isn't plenty of aggressive chunk in the bottom-end, because there is a spike in the mid-range that gives the pickup a subtle aw vowel sound, like a wah-wah pedal stopped in the middle.

DiMarzio Red Velvet Single Coil Guitar Pickup

DiMarzio Red Velvet Single Coil Guitar Pickup

The difference between a vintage Strat bridge pickup sound and a classic Broadcaster or Tele tone is mostly a matter of attack and definition - the Strat stings and screams, while the Tele punches and sings. DiMarzio thought it would be neat to have a Strat pickup that does both, and this is it. The punch comes from the bottom-loaded Power Plate, the sting from custom coil-winding and the Blue Velvet magnet stagger, and a unique mid-range "growl" that's a result of a hand-calibrated magnet structure. Try a Red Velvet bridge pickup with a pair of Blue Velvet pickups for a sound that's both classic and new.

DiMarzio DP104 Super 2 Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP104 Super 2 Humbucker Pickup

The Super 2 is just the pickup to clean up the overdrive sound of a mud-heavy 24-3/4 in. scale, 2-humbucker guitar. Add snap to a dark sounding 25-1/2 in. bolt-on. It works great in the bridge or the neck.

DiMarzio DP100 Super Distortion Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP100 Super Distortion Humbucker Pickup

This is the pickup that started it all. Many of the classic Rock guitar sounds of the 70's and 80's were produced by a Super Distortion and a raging tube amp. But don't confuse classic with outdated. Diverse artists from Al DiMeola, Frank Gambale, and Vinnie Moore to Metal veterans Iron Maiden and Ace Frehley have chosen the Super Distortion as an integral part of their personal sound.

DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP155 Tone Zone Humbucker Pickup

The Tone Zone has the most dramatic tone curve of the Modern Classic Humbuckers. The vowel-like open wah-wah feel of the PAF Pro and FRED is combined with tremendous mid-range and bass for a sound that really kicks hard.

DiMarzio True Velvet Vintage Single Coil Pickup

DiMarzio True Velvet Vintage Single Coil Pickup

It's not difficult to make a vintage single-coil pickup that's clean and bright, but not so easy if you also want the high strings to sound sweet above the 12th fret. The True Velvet Neck Model was designed to make this happen by tuning the coil to a frequency range that’s bright but not thin. DiMarzio has combined this with a magnet stagger specifically designed to enhance string balance, which produces great clarity, even with full chords.

DiMarzio DP420 Virtual Solo Single-Coil Pickup

DiMarzio DP420 Virtual Solo Single-Coil Pickup

DiMarzio has combined the best qualities of the Virtual Vintage Solo and Solo Pro - high output and a full, warm sound - and pushed these qualities even further. Treble response is smoother, the lows are tighter, and there is more pick attack. Play hard, and the sound jumps out of the amp. Play softer, and the sound becomes cleaner and quieter. And of course, there's no hum.

DiMarzio DP102 X2N Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio DP102 X2N Humbucker Pickup

DiMarzio's highest gain pickup excels at thrashing your amplifier into screaming overdrive. Put one in the bridge position for a powerful boost in the voltage the amp sees from your guitar. The result is a hot sound with relentless drive.

Dean Dimebag Darrell DimeTime Electric Guitar Pickup

EMG 60 Active Humbucker Pickup

EMG 60 Active Humbucker Pickup

By combining ceramic magnets with a narrow aperture, the EMG-60 has increased sensitivity and high-frequency response. The 60 features the attack of a single-coil with the power and the punch of a humbucking pickup. In the mid-to-high frequency range, EMG gave the harmonics a boost. There's more high end in the EMG-60 than you would expect from any humbucking pickup. With a distinctive tone for soloing, the 60 works equally well for singing leads or for melody chording.

EMG 707TW 7-String Active Humbucker Pickup

EMG 707TW 7-String Active Humbucker Pickup

If you're using a Low-B String there's no sense in even trying a passive pickup. The 707TW Active Pickup delivers the clearest, fattest low end you've ever felt from a guitar pickup. The 707 is Alnico Loaded and the coils are summed separately keeping the DC resistance down and doubling the low end frequency response. Translated...that means the low frequency response is more natural sounding. Full, but not muddy.

EMG 81 Active Humbucker Pickup

EMG 81 Active Humbucker Pickup

The EMG-81 is a high output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.

EMG 81TW Humbucker Pickup

EMG 81TW Humbucker Pickup

The EMG 81TW humbucking pickup takes an EMG classic to a new level. The dual-mode design allows for maximum flexibility, with the original 81 providing all the crunch and aggressiveness it's famous for and an all new single-coil that features a fatter tone with plenty of punch and clarity. Either mode is accessed through a push/pull pot for versatility. Dual internal preamps, one tuned for single-coil mode and the other for dual-coil mode, give the 81TW two distinct sounds while delivering EMG's well known noise cancelling technology in both modes.

EMG 85 Active Humbucker Pickup

EMG 85 Active Humbucker Pickup

The remarkable EMG-85 has a smooth and full-bodied attack with a rich background of high-mid harmonics for outstanding lead voicing. Its wide-spread alnico magnets give it a full midrange with a bottom end that's clear and powerful. Through string bends, double note bends, vibrato, or long harmonic sustain the output remains solidly true. At high output, the distortion quality is powerfully live for expressive lead phrasing.

EMG 89 Active Humbucker Pickup with Coil Tap

EMG 89 Active Humbucker Pickup with Coil Tap

The EMG-89 is truly two pickups in one; single and dual-coil with two separate outputs. With the single flip of a switch you can change from the crunch of a humbucker to the clarity of a single-coil. Using alnico magnets, the single-coil mode is like that of the EMG-SA, and the humbucking is patterned after the EMG-85. The tone modes can be selected with the included push-pull volume control switch or with a mini-toggle.

EMG 89R Reverse Wound Active Humbucker Pickup with Coil Tap

EMG 89R Reverse Wound Active Humbucker Pickup with Coil Tap

The EMG-89 Dual Mode Pickup has been through two generations. The original Dual-mode (EMG-DM) design was incredibly sophisticated for its time (1979). The DM was an 18-Volt model with a single output available only in an Alnico magnet version. The EMG-DM was abandoned in late 1985, but the concept was revived early in 1989 when EMG came upon a more innovative design featuring "two pickups in one", the current EMG-89.

Seymour Duncan Antiquity Humbucker Pickup

Seymour Duncan Antiquity Humbucker Pickup

They make them for the player wanting the closest re-creation of a vintage pickup. Period. The result is a high-output, aggressive humbucker with lots of treble bite and clarity, as well as punchy bass response and exceptional dynamics.
