Quality:
it could stand more abuse on the road because it is a solid state and i dont have to worry about tubes breaking. cosmetics look clean. i personally keep this as a backup because i also own a 150w all tube head.

Value:
i feel i truly got my moneys worth for the gt1200h.

Desirability:
it looks pretty schnazzy.

Sound:
I personally beleive that there should be 3 individual E.Q.'s for the clean, rhythm, and solo channels. the problem w/switching back between rhythm and solo is that they share the same low,mid,and high; therefore i have to constantly redial my settings everytime. i dont beleive i can excell on stage if i have to stop playing to change settings every time i change channels.

Support:
the only way i could contact crate was through the internet. They Don't know how to pick up a damn phone!!!

Overall:
it is a solidstate amp,(and we all know that tube amps rule), so it is only a matter of time to put the money together to afford an all tube head.

The sound is great, it doesn't matter if you're into blues or punk it will give you that sound you want.

very good Clean Tones if you know what you are doing and set the controls to a good combination....distortion sounds really good but not as good as if you buy an actual Distortion Pedal (Metal Master By Digitech and the Metal Zone by Boss are much better)Reverb is OK can be better but good for amp reverb

I have only begun to experiment with it but just running in mono with the Marshall head it is awesome. I could not stop playing...

Ease of Use:
Starting with the Marshall controls all set at 12 O'clock...I started playing and did not tweak one knob in 4 hours. Super simple.

For the money, its features are more than adequate. A simple reverb option would be a nice addition.

Until they fix the preamp problems this box is only good for basic portable announcing.

Good, practical design.

Sound:
Tweaking the 4 band EQ will improve the sound quite a bit. But there's a fairly serious weakness: Low frequencies, say from the bottom strings of a guitar, cause higher frequencies to be suppressed. So, for instance, if you strum a chord on the guitar, you'll notice the upper strings are barely heard. The vocal mic is also suppressed. I've been in contact with Crate and they admit it's a design issue.

Support:
Quick response from the CS department regarding the sound problem. But no resolution yet. We'll see...

Overall:
I'm going to try the top of the line Limo version of this series. I'm hoping it doesn't use the same preamp stage as the TX15

Great amp. Just my opionion of course but you must try it out. It has a number of features that make a really solid tube amp even better. Do Not let the Crate name make you run the other way. Do not be a follower and listen to what others say, try it for yourself!!!

Desirability:
I own it and would buy another. The black material with real chrome emblem up front and the nice effects knobs are cool looking.

Sound:
Great Crunch/Metal sound...Not NuMetal Crap. The clean channel is awesome. A tube amp(EL34s)with pretty good built-in digital effects for around $750 is outstanding. It's well built, looks great and sounds great on Both Channels. Try it out, you will like it.

Ease of Use:
Very easy to use...let the tubes warm up for about 5 minutes, turn it up and enjoy. Don't let the Crate name fool you, St. Louis Music has done an outstanding job putting this complete amp package together. You will regret if you don't at least try it out.

There were a few little dings on the plastic parts, and the built-in tuner on the top could be a little bigger, but otherwise, the quality is very good.

Excellent value is given.

Sound:
The range and quality of the reverb settings are superb. The doubler and the inverted wah-wah are somewhat weak, and a dedicated FX pedal (e.g., a Line 6 PODxT) would be better for some of the other FX, but overall the quality and range of the FX are quite good. The sound of the amp is great. I've played it a number of times using a Stratocaster (Squier) and a Schecter Diamond Series (C-1) plus a PRS, and the warmth, dynamic range, and flexibility of sounds make this an excellent choice for the semi-pro or professional player who does small-to-medium-sized gigs. I also own a Crate GTX212, and this one surpasses the GTX212 in terms of the dynamic range and the warmth of its tone. Crate makes a fine amp and for the price it's quite a good value.

Overall:
I'm saving my pennies for this unit. The quality, the range of features, and the ease of use make this an excellent choice for the serious musician who isn't tied up with the need for a prestige name brand. Why pay more and get less? That's just plain stupid. Why not get an outstanding value that will last and last and give you all the features that any sensible musician could want? That's just plain smart! So get a Crate today!

Never have you used a mike with better gain before feedback: one of the principle advantages of this microphone. You can play games and see how close you can get to the speaker with the volume cranked; lots of fun. The microphone headband is designed to be permanently bent to the shape of the user's head, so you can't trade it from one user to the next, but it fits better than one you can trade.

Quality:
I had to re-solder the cable a few months back, but that's after 4.5 years of use, which is a very long time for a headset's cable to last.

Value:
Excellent value for the price

Sound:
I use the CM311A both for my voice and for my various wind instruments (recorders, tin whistles, Incan flute) and it works excellently for both. It's a bit noisey, so not best for recording, but certainly not a problem for live sound. It has excellent isolation from external noise.

Quality:
The winder, which is plastic, attaches to the handle with a simple Phillips head wood screw. Tighten the screw too far and the winder won't turn; too loose and you risk losing the screw and the winder wobbles. The trimmer is a simple scissors cutter. To get the wire slot open requires the handles to be moved rather far apart, which could be a problem for people with small hands.

Value:
This is not a bad value for the money, especially since you get two tools in one convenient package.

Desirability:
This is a handy gadget. It folds compactly and is easy to use. Go to the hardware store and get some spare screws, just in case.

Do not buy these strings, do not even take them for free, they will only harm your guitars sound.

Desirability:
The string coating flakes, the strings rust quickly and are easily broken.

Sound:
The sound of these strings is a very cheap one, they have no brightness or decent tone to them at all. The strings have very little of that new string sound in the first place, and are gone withing minutes of the first note. Speaking of the first note, you will notice that it will not ring for very long, the string sound DOES NOT RESONATE. I've tried these strings in several settings, and none of them make these strings sound any better, this includes halls, and closed rooms as well as outdoors. The strings don't sound any better when recorded and sound terrible being played through an amp on an acoustic electric guitar.

Ease of Use:
The strings require constant retuning, and will often fall out of tune mid song.

Support:
I've yet to contact the company, but will soon about the poor quality of these strings.

Overall:
The only decent strings I've bought from this company are EXP mediums for acoustic guitars, they are simply amazing, but these strings are an embarassment and I will never put them on my guitar again.

I play in a church chior there are 61 vioces and 7 to 8 musicians which include 4 keyboards (one for strings, one for brass, conventional piano, and of course Hammond B-3 with a 122 leslie), a bass player who builds his own bass, drummer, and guitar (myself). I'mcalled on to do fills as well as the typical guitar thing. This chorus has never let me or my chior director down for that special sound. I could spend alot more on a chorus and have tried the more expensive ones but nothing beats that rich analog sound. I also own a daddy-o overdrive, dan-echo, the danelectro chromatic tuner.

I have used these for years. They sound very balanced, not overly sharp or harsh. I believe it is due to the pure nickel winding. I hate strings that try to emphasize some frequency range, etc. The other thing I like is the flexibility. They stretch beautifully and the tension is balanced across the set. I always liked this particular guage even though the top strin is only .040 because I like the .015 G as opposed tot he usual .016 G you get in a set that goes to .009

the life of the product is preaty good. I left these strings 2 years on my old Fender strat, never played in 2 years. After these years i wanted to change the strings in order to play with it. When i touched it, the guitar was almost tuned and the tone was still very light and warm. Other strings are rugged in less than a month, or in about 3-4 months... can you see any diffrence?

While this is a well built wah that sounds really good, there is one big problem. This unit does not use a true bypass, it's a hardwired bypass that produces a pop almost every time the effect is engaged. Support acknowleged this is the case. If you are a professional, you will find that it may not the kind of wah that you will want to use live because of this popping. While in the studio I've found that its useful since I can punch in while its already engaged. One thing I can say is that it doesn't affect the signal when in bypass (which is a good thing)

It only has two knobs and that is really much all you need so you wont go thru having to turn all these knobs.

its made well because i dont have problems with it not turning on whenever it is stomped on since it always goes on. sometimes when i step on my ibanez, it doesnt turn on, but a majority of the time it goes on.

it is a bit expensive but it's worth it anyways.

Desirability:
its a good addition to my setup of pedals.

Sound:
its got that strong fuzz + distortion to sound heavy. I use an ibanez tubescreamer TS7 and the MXR M-104 Distortion + pedal. i use the ibanez for smooth sounds and then i turn on the MXR while the ibanez is still on to do some heavy sounds and solos.

I tried Martin's SP (Sustained Playability), maybe they do last longer, but I can't wait to take them off and put the bronze wound back on. SP's are to glassy, brassy and bright. All mid-range and no bottom -- especially if you have a lam-top that needs a lot of bass to get the wood vibrating. The moral is don't skimp on strings that last longer. They'll turn your adavanced jumbo into your basic shrimp!

Quality:
Buggy as heck. I've seen a few of these things and all them them are lousy as attenuating frequencies. Meaning your playing a low E that is just a tad flat but the it goes from reading D# to F. Aggravating. owned it for seven years, and it got it's share of use, though not for the last five or so. It's now going belly up, hardly usable, mostly broke. It never took a fall. My Korg took many falls, on the other hand, and spent a winter lost underneath a six inch layer of snow. IT STILL WORKS!

Value:
Cheap, but flawed.

Desirability:
I wish I'd paid another 10 bucks for a KORG.

Quality:
It looks like the battery compartment cover will break after just a little use. Very tight fit, just waiting for it to break. Otherwise, about what you would expect.

Value:
If they would use a better op-amp in the preamp section to reduce the hiss to lower levels, I could recommend this product. For your money, you could get a small multi-effects pedal or save-up a little more $ and get the Tascam Bass Trainer or a Korg Pandora. Compared to what else is available, it just seems overpriced.

Desirability:
Sort-of big for what it does when compared to effects pedals.

Sound:
Clips very easily: you need to reduce the volume from your bass pickups to get a decent sound, which leads to another issue... Lots of hiss. I took the unit apart and saw TL082 opamps in the preamp section. Come on, you can do better than this! I might replace the opamps with better (quieter) chips, so I'll post again after I do this to see if the hiss improves.

Power jack is loose and basically keeps one from playing with an external power source. Considering it's a portable amp without its own speaker, it's rather large.

Value:
No, worth maybe half, or even a third. Rockmans were an innovation back in the day, but its time is basically past now, especially at this quality/feature level

Basically like a black plastic Cracker Jack box...

It has your basic clean and distortion sounds, but no real variety. There are better mini-amps for less.

I got a more versatile practice amp for about a little over twice the cost of this Rockman, but it was worth every penny. The only reason I would use this Rockman is for playing in the airport, testing a guitar where they do not have an amp, etc.

I have a Kurzweil PC-88MX, and the case simply can't handle the weight of the keyboard. It bends, the handles pull off, it's not pretty. And they expect this thing to survive a flight? I barely trust it on the road. If you don't abuse your cases much (i.e. don't travel) you probably won't have an issue, but even for semi-regular gigging it doesn't hold up.

Value:
I'm looking into getting a different case because it's not sturdy enough, but like I said, SKB stands behind its product. For the price, it may be better to go with Calzone Cases, which is what I'm looking into--they'll build a custom case for about the same as this one, but if weight is an issue the SKB case wins (the case I'm looking into is 10-20 lbs heavier).

heres the problem. I've owned one of these for 8 years now. Probably only took it to shows a dozen times.
