Well, it's an AC adapter that gets the job done, however, I'm disappointed with the quality. Very low grade construction. The cord on mine has shorted after 2 years of studio/live use. I'm now in the position of having to buy a new one, because they don't come with a QY100. You have to buy it seperate. If I'm going to buy a AC adapter that is absolutely necessary for a product and spend $15 - $20, I'd expect a little better construction. I'd pay $10 more for a better one, but Yamaha doesn't make one any better.

Yamaha PA3C Power Adapter
The YAMPA3C is Yamaha's standard model. It works with some Yamaha products that require 12V output. Please refer to the power requirements that are usually stamped next to the power input socket on your instrument.
